Donate and Pledge

We are now fundraising

In order to pay professional fees for work ideally done in the near future, we are now asking for donations.

In addition, we would like to collect pledges for future donations towards work at the hall.

In either case, we can apply for Gift Aid if you can complete the declaration below.

Total of all eligible donations, grants, and pledges (conditional or not), towards the COF award match funding target

Pledges

The application we have made for grant funding from the Community Ownership Fund (administered by the Department for Levelling up, Housing and Communities) is dependent upon 20% of match funding. By pledging a donation now, you can help us plan when we will be able to fund stages of the work at the hall. This is not a commitment to donate.

It is our intention to request fulfilment of pledges once it is confirmed that our application has been successful, or sufficient alternative funding is secured.

Gift Aid

Boost your donation by 25p of Gift Aid for every £1 you donate.

If you are a UK taxpayer, we can claim Gift Aid worth 25p for every £1 of your donation, so long as you complete and return a simple declaration.

You can opt to Gift Aid a one-off donation, or to Gift Aid every time you donate (even past donations made within four years).

Cancellation / Change of Details

Please notify Meads (Eastbourne) Community Centre if you want to cancel this Pledge and/or Gift Aid declaration, change your name or home address, or no longer pay sufficient tax on your income and/or capital gains to Gift Aid. (You can do this through this form, by entering new details in the fields, and your old details in the message area.)

Higher or Additional Rate Taxpayers

If you pay Income Tax at the higher or additional rate and want to receive the additional tax relief due to you, you must include all your Gift Aid donations on your Self-Assessment tax return or ask HM Revenue and Customs to adjust your tax code.
